i2O is the world leader in Advanced Pressure Management for water networks.
Adam Kingdon and Andrew Burrows founded i2O Water in 2005. They were convinced that the water industry needed innovative solutions to tackle the problem of leakage in global water distribution systems and set about developing advanced pressure management technology to address the issue. Initial trials with Severn Trent Water in 2007 achieved leakage savings of 26% and led to the first commercial systems being installed the following year.
Since then the company has installed its systems in many countries around the world – with average leakage savings running at over 20%, reductions in new bursts at up to 50% and millions of litres of drinking water being saved every day.
i2O Water has won a host of awards for its technology, including the Leakage Initiative of the Year award at the Water Industry Achievement Awards in March 2012.
i2O Water is based in the UK, at Southampton Science Park. It is led by an experienced management team of water industry professionals, business experts and systems engineers, and employs 50 people at its offices in Southampton, Malaysia, Spain and Colombia.
