However good the technology, no water company can fully benefit from the i2O system unless the planning, installation and maintenance of the system is part of a well thought-out and structured project. Nor will the i2O system be able to do its job if other key equipment installed in the DMA such as flow meters and PRVs are not specified correctly or are poorly maintained. i2O has developed its managed service capability to address these issues and ensure that benefits are delivered. The managed service covers the following phases of the project:
1. Project planningWe will liaise with the Client to jointly agree plans for large scale, small scale and trial installations. This may include: data analysis, DMA ranking and selection, cost benefit analysis, project execution planning and design of a service level agreement.
2. Installation
i2O would deliver the installation phase of the project in accordance with the agreed budget and programme.
3. Planned maintenance
i2O will maintain their system to ensure continuous operation under normal operating conditions.
4. Reactive maintenance / call out
i2O can provide reactive maintenance / call out services in response to system alarms or client requests, if required. We will agree an appropriate process and response time with each client.
5. Collaborative working relationship
i2O will deliver the service levels agreed with their Clients, through their managed service provision. This approach will ensure that benefits of Advanced Pressure Management are achieved, with the further aim of working closely, in a collaborative relationship, to develop further intelligent water controls.
